About the work
From the upper edge of "01 | 2025", dense tendrils hang down: fronds in petrol blue and emerald, with blossoms in dusty rose, raspberry and white between them. The movement is clearly vertical, as with a wisteria or an overgrown trellis, and yet every form remains open and loosely painted. The background is a delicate gradient of peach, sand and sage green that sets off the cool greens of the tendrils with warmth. At the bottom, the plants dissolve into single brushstrokes and drops. Juliane Golbs paints here in pure acrylic on canvas, with a few confidently placed gestures. Compared with other works in the series Fifth Season #heaven can wait, this picture feels particularly calm and ordered; drawing recedes behind the painted surface. The blossom appears as something fleeting that can only be held in passing. At 150 × 200 cm, the work creates a cool, fresh atmosphere in a room, shown to particular advantage in bedrooms and bright living spaces.

Some pictures begin with an idea. These two series began with life itself – with fear, with time given back and with the decision to celebrate it.
