About the work
A vivid pink fills the small canvas of "07 | 2026" to the edges. In the right half, white and pale pink blossoms gather, threaded with narrow dark green leaves set down in a few sure strokes. On the left floats a barely visible form drawn in chalk that recalls a butterfly. Juliane Golbs combines acrylic and chalk on canvas: the chalk stays dry and grainy, while the paint runs down in fine trails. The picture feels like a snapshot, an impulse caught in the making – characteristic of the series Fifth Season #heaven can wait, in which drawing and spontaneity are given room. The closeness to the sketch, to the study sheet, is intended; it is precisely at small scale that the precision of the gesture shows. At 30 × 40 cm, the work is an ideal first piece for a collection and looks especially fine on a shelf, on an easel or in a salon hang beside other formats.
