Origins
Gold is the only material that does not merely receive light but multiplies it. In this series Juliane Golbs captures the fleeting beauty of the golden hour and makes it lasting.
Using 24-carat gold leaf and special gold creams, she creates works that change with the daylight – living organisms on your wall that radiate warmth and composed calm.

The series comprises 13 works from 2017 to 2025, of which 9 are available. It is worked mainly in acrylic, gold lacquer, acrylic lacquers, mixed media. Formats range from 40 × 60 cm to 120 × 160 cm. Defining colours are blue, gold, orange, white, apricot; the studio describes the mood of the paintings as dynamic, expressive, golden, powerful, vivid.
